Summary

The SEO Marketing Lead will play a crucial role in developing and executing a comprehensive SEO strategy that integrates with overall marketing initiatives. This position will hire and lead a talented team and collaborate with cross-functional departments to optimize search engine performance, increase organic traffic, drive high-quality leads, and ultimately generate additional revenue by converting organic traffic into sales. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in SEO, SEM, local search marketing, and a deep understanding of digital marketing trends.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in driving measurable growth through search channels and possess an analytical mindset while excelling in communication skills with partners to drive strategy and growth initiatives. This position is based in our Austin, TX office and reports to the Global Marketing Director.

Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Leadership:

  • Develop and implement a holistic SEO strategy aligned with the company’s marketing goals, focusing on brand visibility, lead generation, and revenue growth.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the SEO team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define and prioritize SEO initiatives that support overall business objectives.

SEO Strategy Development:

  • Conduct comprehensive SEO audits and market research to inform strategy and identify areas for improvement across all digital channels.
  • Drive technical SEO efforts, addressing issues such as website architecture, crawlability, indexability, and user experience.
  • Develop content optimization strategies aimed at improving keyword rankings, enhancing organic traffic, and increasing conversion rates.

Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Oversight:

  • Oversee paid search campaigns, ensuring cohesive strategies between SEO and SEM to maximize ROI and lead generation.
  • Utilize data analytics to monitor campaign performance, making informed adjustments to improve cost-effectiveness and lead quality.

Local Search Marketing Leadership:

  • Design and implement local SEO strategies, optimizing Google Business Listings and local directories to enhance visibility and lead generation.
  • Collaborate with partners to ensure consistency and optimization of local search efforts.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of SEO initiatives, including organic traffic, conversion rates, and CPA.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for ongoing optimization and strategy refinement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with content, social media, web development, and sales teams to ensure alignment of SEO efforts with broader marketing strategies.
  • Advocate for SEO best practices across all departments, ensuring that all digital content and offerings are optimized for search engines.
Industry Leadership:
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, algorithm changes, and emerging technologies in SEO and digital marketing.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and workshops, positioning Eagle Eye Networks as a thought leader in SEO and digital marketing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics or Statistics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in SEO, SEM, and digital marketing, with a proven track record of driving measurable growth and results.
  • Exceptional understanding of technical SEO, content strategy, and local search marketing.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Moz, and other industry-standard software.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Success Metrics:

  • Increase in organic traffic and improved keyword rankings within the first 6-12 months.
  • Significant growth in lead acquisition via organic and paid search channels.
  • Achievement of defined KPIs, demonstrating enhanced SEO health and campaign performance.
  • Improvement in local search visibility and lead generation for the company and its partners.
