Overview

As a Platform Engineer, you will play a key role in defining and building the underlying systems behind the largest cloud video surveillance platform in the world. Your passion for finding solutions to difficult technical challenges will help keep Eagle Eye Networks on the forefront of the industry with the most stable and secure cloud platform available. You will work closely with development teams to help them meet their objectives by providing the critical services on which their applications run and communicate. Your expertise in Kubernetes, message queues, and data stores will be key to the success of the company as we continue to grow rapidly. Dedication, fast thinking, and excellent problem solving skills will be key to success in this role. Technology changes quickly, and we need to change and adapt with it. This means facing problems for which there is no prescribed solution, implementing cutting edge distributed solutions, and providing enhanced support to Engineering leaders by maintaining visibility and uptime for critical systems.

From bare metal data center environments to CI/CD to complex distributed data stores, we take a DevOps approach to solving novel challenges and providing reliable services to a large number of fast-moving software development teams. Requirements

• 5+ years of Linux experience working with large scale private or public clouds.
• Expertise with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of distributed systems and their challenges.
• Experience with common metrics and log aggregation systems.
• Expertise with build automation and CI/CD. 
• Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, Nats, or other message queues and brokers. 
• Experience with network storage solutions (Ceph or similar).
